Implementation of New-Product Creativity through an Engineering Design Process to Foster Engineering Students’ Higher-Order Thinking Skills

Many studies in engineering education believe that higher-order thinking skills (HOTs) are a fundamental competency for students. Polymer students study and analyze the character structure of polymer materials use knowledge to design innovative new products. However, might need more applied contexts creativity learning motivation material instruction. This paper is present new-product (NPC) through process (EDP) The quasi-experimental was implemented activity polymer-processing laboratory course. A total 21 participants were recruited from two groups (10 experimental group, 11 control group) at university Thailand. results showed who learned with NPC-EDP had better HOTs course than those conventional learning. In addition, also they motivated learn meaningfully education.
